1. Overview

RestoreCam ("we", "us", or "our") is a contents documentation platform built for insurance restoration professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our web application and services at restorecam.com.

By using RestoreCam, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information — name, email address, and profile data when you sign in via Google (through Clerk authentication).
• Claim data — insured names, claim numbers, policy numbers, adjuster names, and other claim-related details you enter.
• Photos — images you capture or upload of property and contents. Photos are stored securely in Cloudflare R2 object storage.
• Item data — brand, model, description, quantity, age, condition, and replacement cost estimates for documented items.
• Usage data — pages visited, features used, and device/browser information collected automatically for performance and debugging.
• Team data — email addresses and names of team members you invite to your organization.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the RestoreCam service.
• To generate and export contents documentation reports (XLSX).
• To power AI-assisted comparable pricing lookups for documented items.
• To send transactional emails (invitations, notifications) via Resend.
• To authenticate users and manage team access via Clerk.
• To respond to support inquiries submitted through our contact form.
• To monitor service health and diagnose technical issues.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your claim data or photos for advertising purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in the following systems:

• Database — Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the United States.
• Photos — Cloudflare R2 object storage, with zero egress fees and global CDN delivery.
• Authentication — Clerk, a SOC 2 compliant authentication provider.

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS. Access to your organization's data is restricted to authenticated users within your team. We use service-role access keys on the server side only — these are never exposed to the browser.

5. Photo Retention

Photos you upload are stored for as long as your account is active. Photos associated with deleted claims are removed from storage within 30 days. We do not apply automatic lifecycle expiration to active account photos — your documentation is preserved as long as you need it.

6. Third-Party Services

RestoreCam uses the following third-party providers. Each has their own privacy policy:

• Clerk — authentication and user management (clerk.com)
• Supabase — database storage (supabase.com)
• Cloudflare R2 — photo storage (cloudflare.com)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com)
• Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure (vercel.com)
• Tawk.to — live chat support (tawk.to)

7. Team & Organization Data

When you invite team members, their email address is stored in our database and a Clerk invitation is sent on your behalf. Team members you add gain access to your organization's claims and data. You are responsible for managing team access and removing members who should no longer have access.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and export your data at any time via the XLSX export feature.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
• Correct inaccurate information stored in your account.
• Withdraw consent and discontinue use of the service at any time.

9. Cookies

RestoreCam uses session cookies for authentication (managed by Clerk) and local storage for offline-first PWA functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Tawk.to may set cookies for live chat session continuity.

10. Children's Privacy

RestoreCam is intended for professional use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of RestoreCam after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
